Before applying eyepatches, it is important to gently clean your clients' lashes while her eyes remain closed and relaxed. Using a rinse bottle that is filled with warm water, carefully and thoroughly rinse her eyelashes until there is absolutely no cleanser left behind. To avoid any spillage into the client’s ear, it is advisable to hold a kidney dish or a folded towel snugly at her temple. Once you have completed this process, gently pat the eyelashes dry with a soft towel to prevent any potential damage. It's important that no stinging or irritation occurs afterward; however, if the client does experience any stinging sensation, a second rinse may be required to alleviate that discomfort.

For those who wear waterproof makeup and mascara, you may find that it is necessary to apply an oil-free makeup remover before shampooing your lashes, since mascara can be particularly challenging to remove from lash extensions.
